Object of Blackjack

Bets are placed on the layout before any cards are drawn. Two cards are dealt to each player and either one or two cards to the dealer depending on which type of Blackjack the casino plays and the casino rules.

The object of the game is to beat the dealer by either getting a Blackjack, which is a picture and an ace, the score of 21, or a higher hand than the dealer. The players can draw as many cards as they like to make up their hand. If they score over 21, they bust and lose the bet.

The dealer, when drawing his own cards must draw cards at the score of 16 and stand at the score of 17 and above. If the dealer scores over 21, then he busts and all the remaining bets on the layout are paid accordingly.

There are a few betting combinations that makes Blackjack more exciting. You get the opportunity to double your original bet on certain cards depending on the casino rules. If you chose to double then you are allowed one more card. You can also split cards of the same denomination and face value depending again on the casino rules. When splitting cards, you can draw as many cards as you like to make up your hand. Once again, 21 is the highest score and if you go over that, you bust and lose the bet.
